About Our Senior Engineer...

       Michael Asbury graduated from Illinois State University with a major in Computational Physics with an emphasis on Mathematics.  His undergraduate research included four years of research on Atomic Physics and two years research on Space Physics concurrently.

          Since January of 2004, Michael has worked as a Design Engineer for a local special machine designer and builder.   There he gained experience designing and engineering advanced custom materials handling machine tools of a wide variety, proficiently using AutoDesk Inventor.  Throughout the design process, 3D models of the tools were animated to simulate performance and analyzed to reduce costly mistakes and troubleshooting.  In addition, he coordinated machine set development from concept to assembly in cooperation with the CNC department and machinists.  A secondary aspect of his position there involved the research and development of new advanced manufacturing processes.

          Most recently, he has been working as a Design Engineer for a hardware manufacturer providing high-end solutions for unique applications.   Michael has continued his growth as a Design Engineer while designing innovative new products to fulfill unmet needs; doing so through ongoing coordination with patent attorneys, members of sales, production, marketing, and upper management.  Ultimately, he expanded his design skills by learning how to design for high volume manufacturing and streamlining of workflow.
